Snapshot of 2025

Wrapping up 2025

First of all, I want to thank each and every person who has chosen one of my artworks to take home. Your support means the world to me, and I appreciate you more than I can say.

A little about life lately:
Things have truly turned around for us this year. Here are just a few of the good things that have happened over the past 12 months:

  • We bought a peaceful rural property, and I finally have a large studio of my own again—big enough for me to resume teaching my workshops, which I love just as much as painting.

  • We became two grand babies richer.

  • I was commissioned by Kimberley Arts Network to create the painting above for the Regional Arts Triennial We Walk Together exhibition, taking place in September/October in Kununurra and Broome.

  • I secured a solo exhibition for next year at Black Stump Gallery in Broome.

  • Artopia Gallery's lease wasn't renewed which was a great source of stress for all of us, but they have secured a space I the Cambridge hotel in Kununurra,  it'll mean a 6 month wait for completion, so we'll just have to keep swimming until then.

I’m excited to fill the new studio with colour, laughter, and learning as workshops start up again. And I can’t wait to unveil the new body of work I’ve been dreaming up for next year.  I'm keeping all those paintings secret until the opening night, but do keep an eye on my Instagram and Facebook pages for little teasers.

Merry Christmas and a fabulous 2026 to you.

Love,

Jeanne
