Kimberley Whispers Solo Exhibition

Exciting news!

Over the past six months, I have been immersed in creating a new body of work inspired by the extraordinary landscapes and quiet magic of the Kimberley, the place I am fortunate to call home, for my 6th solo exhibition on 5 June.

Each painting is based on locations I have personally visited, camped at, and photographed, making this collection not only a celebration of the Kimberley, but also a reflection of my own experiences and connection to this remarkable region.

A glimpse into my process: I love painting abstracts, and one of my favourite things to do is take a scene—a piece of rock, a pattern in the landscape, or shapes revealed from an aerial perspective—and use it as a starting point. I'll establish the foundational lines, then put the reference photo aside and allow the painting to find its own direction. Some areas are simplified, others embellished, and what begins as a recognisable place gradually transforms into something new. It's an intuitive process rather than an analytical one - a flow state where the painting reveals itself along the way.

It has been such a privilege to translate these moments into paintings, and I am delighted to share them with you.

If you are unable to attend the opening but would love to view the collection, please send me a message at [email protected] and I'll send you the link and password to my exhibition page for an exclusive preview.
